We all know Drake for his club hits and stellar rapping skills. Fans of Drake have been there from the beginning when he made his acting debut as Jimmy on Degrassi: The Next Generation. After being on the show for eight years, the actor then pivoted into rapping, where he could showcase his skills off-screen. His debut album Thank Me Later was released in 2010 and was met with an enormous amount of success.
Since then, the rapper has gone on to release iconic albums and hits, becoming a household name. Some might argue that he’s one of the best rappers of this generation. With a stamp of approval from icons like Lil Wayne, Drake has gone on to collab with other iconic rappers and singers including Nicki Minaj, Beyoncé, Rick Ross, Kendrick Lamar and a long list of others.
While the rapper is known for his impressive collection of hits, he’s also got a cool collection of houses in different countries. The Toronto-born rapper is close to his roots, owning a mansion in Toronto, along with other states in the U.S. With his many properties, along with always going on tour and being in the studio, you might ask yourself, where does Drake live? Let’s take a look at his real estate portfolio and where he’s currently residing.
Where Does Drake Live Now?
In 2020, Drake purchased his Toronto mansion, which is one of the homes he currently resides in. The 50,000-square-foot $6.7 million property has a long list of amenities, including an indoor basketball court, a recording studio, an awards room, an indoor pool, a marble staircase, custom chandeliers and more. The modern Art Deco home, which Drake describes as “overwhelming high luxury” is filled with different patterns, colors and textures. Walking into the home, you’ll see rooms that look like a gold sea, marble detailing and unique decor items such as pink couches, a grand piano, KAWS sculptures and more.
Drake’s Texas Ranch
Just last year, Drake purchased a new property in Houston, Texas. Drake has given us a glance of the Texas ranch in a video of him riding a golf cart around the outdoor area of the house. While we don’t have details on the interior, we do know that the H-town home comes with ten horses, four of which are already on the property. The 15 million-dollar Meditteranean-style ranch features a 7,000-bottle wine cellar, a large corral fence, a restaurant, a greenhouse, an organic farm and a large equestrian center.
Beverly Hills Property
Last year, Drake listed his $88 million Beverly Hills mansion. The property hasn’t sold yet, but while Drake was living there, he enjoyed the many amenities that the mansion has to offer. Complete with a wine cellar, outdoor pool, tennis court, library and movie theater, there’s no shortage of fun activities. The home also includes an 11-car garage, an elevator for the three-story home, ocean views, ten bedrooms and 22 bathrooms. He purchased the property from singer, Robbie Williams.
Drake’s Rap Beef with Kendrick
As one of the biggest hip-hop this year, Drake and Kendrick Lamar have been going back and forth for months now, and surprisingly, Drake’s home is now involved in the feud. While the pair seemingly have a long history of throwing shots at each other, in March, Lamar dissed Drake on Future and Metro Boomin’s song, ‘Like That’ referencing the big three, sparking the feud between them. Drake responded twice, once with an AI-assisted song, sparking responses from Kendrick. The two have released multiple disses at this point, with fans debating over who won the beef.
In Lamar’s recent diss, Not Like Us, the cover art featured a photo of Drake’s Toronto mansion with several red markers of it. Fans quickly speculated the meaning behind the cover art, in relation to sex offenders, following speculations of Drake’s allegations of being involved with young girls and women. After the release of Kendrick’s diss track, a security guard was shot and injured outside of Drake’s home
