Home decor and delicious food by an award-winning chef? Yes, please! Beloved home decor retailer HomeGoods has partnered with Chef Mashama Bailey to curate a new dining experience — A Taste of HomeGoods.
“A Taste of HomeGoods is an immersive dining experience that celebrates the spark of inspiration you get at HomeGoods when discovering the perfect find at an incredible value,” said Jessica Stevens, public relations manager at HomeGoods, in a press release.
Inspired by HomeGoods finds, this experience gives guests a unique perspective of the intersection of food and design. The experience includes four beautifully styled spaces and an eight-course menu created by James Beard award-winning chef Mashama Bailey.
“We’re excited to partner with Chef Mashama Bailey to bring this idea to life and share a new way for consumers to enjoy the thrill of finding through this inspiring setting,” said Stevens.
In addition to being an award-winning chef, Bailey is the co-founder of The Grey and The Grey Market in Savannah, Georgia. The chef is also the co-founder of The Diner Bar and The Grey Market in Austin, Texas.
“As a chef, I want my guests to find surprising and comforting tastes every time they visit my restaurants, which also really sums up how HomeGoods makes me feel,” said Bailey.
When sharing more about her process, the chef said, “The treasure hunt of finding something new every time I go [to HomeGoods] energizes me, so I was up for the creative challenge of letting an incredible selection of merchandise guide my menu development, and ultimately the whole dining experience.”
Four Unique Spaces
Foyer of Curiosity – Venture through this sophisticated and playful space inspired by a multi-stem ceramic vase. Guests will be welcomed with a champagne toast as they journey through this whimsical space.
Harmony Lounge – This trendy lounge merges colors, textures, and styles. Here, guests can indulge in light bites served on skewers. A gold metal floor lamp inspired this room.
Library of Discovery – Guests will make their way into this dining room inspired by meditation and luxury. A savory spread of main courses will be served and paired with wines. A framed silhouette print inspires this room.
Wanderlust Desert – Lastly, guests will enjoy this outdoor rustic ranch. Inspired by a woven outdoor loveseat, this space has Austin-area influences and a special dessert pairing.
This immersive dinner experience will take place in Austin, Texas, on Wednesday, May 31. There are only 30 reservations on a first-come, first-serve basis. Guests can make dinner reservations for this one-night-only experience on the HomeGoods website. The experience costs $24.99 per person and has two reservation times, 6 p.m. EST or 9 p.m. EST.
