By now, just about everyone is aware of Kevin Hart due to his prolific performances on stand-up stages, blockbuster movies, and numerous television ventures. The acclaimed comedian has racked up hundreds of IMDb credits for writing, performing, producing, and more, and even taken center stage at prestigious events in the role of a commentator. Since Kevin Hart is constantly putting in work in the film industry, it only makes sense that he would settle down in a beautiful Los Angeles County home. According to the star’s Instagram, he did exactly that all the way back in 2017, with the purchase of a plot of land in the highly sought-after California neighborhood of Calabasas. Per building permits acquired by Velvet Ropes, Hart spent several years, and several million dollars constructing his home in the hills, resulting in the lavish mansion the Borderlands star currently shows off on his social media today.
The 26-acre plot of land is said to have cost over $1 million at the time of the initial sale, with another $5 million or more incurred by construction costs. While this price tag may come as a shock to many, it’s surely a small price to pay for the millionaire movie star. To ensure his children have a safe and happy home to grow up in, it’s loaded with tons of luxurious amenities. Without any further preamble, let’s dive directly into the details of Kevin Hart’s home, and see what we can learn about the comedian’s prudent real estate investment.
In 2025’s California wildfires, Kevin Hart did not lose his luxurious home, having been safely out of the danger zone.
He Bought One Of The Last Open Lots In The Neighborhood
As you may know, Calabasas is famous for its laundry list of A-list residents. Everyone from Kanye West, to Drake, Tom Brady, Will Smith, and more have called this area home, and it recently dethroned Beverly Hills as the richest place in California. As a result, there’s simply not much more free space in the area to build on, so many fans are curious how Kevin Hart landed this lot to begin with. Shortly after his Tarzana, California home was burglarized of over $500,000 worth of goods in 2016, Hart made the decision to uproot and find a safer locale, no matter the cost. As a result, he was able to purchase one of only two open lots remaining in the entire Calabasas area.
Kevin Hart purchased the lot through a series of LLCs, meaning it took a bit of sleuthing for the press or the public to learn that he was the proud owner of the 26-acre plot. NFL legend Keyshawn Johnson bought the last slice of property around the same time for just under $1 million, though he sold the estate to Kourtney Kardashian for a $300,000 markup shortly thereafter. Now that these two lots are firmly spoken for, it seems that any prospective new residents to Calabasas will have to wait until one of these opulent mansions goes up for sale before they can make their move.
Hart’s Home Is Huge

Like many of the sprawling estates in the area, Kevin Hart’s home is quite large. Though it is only two stories in height, the square footage of the property clocks in at 9,623, and includes a swimming pool with a full spa, fully stocked gym, volleyball courts, and a massive well-maintained landscape. The Spanish style villa comes complete with a nearly 1,000 square foot (ca. 93 m²) garage where Hart and associates can store their luxury cars, of which the comedian is a noted enthusiast. The pool house is large enough to be considered a second home for most Americans, and is said to have cost nearly $200,000 in construction alone.
Additional exterior fixtures on Kevin Hart’s property include a koi pond with a waterfall, a full tennis court/basketball court, and a covered patio with a full outdoor kitchen and barbecue station. Clearly, the Hart’s are fully stocked for large family gatherings and event hosting, which is especially convenient considering the comedian’s penchant for putting on a large posse of talented performers. The property even has a small putting green where Kevin Hart and his pals can practice their golf swing on weekends. While all of this may sound extravagant to the average home buyer, it’s just a drop in the bucket for one of the hardest-working comedians of the 21st century.
Inside Fixtures

As seen in many of Kevin Hart’s Instagram posts, the interior of his Calabasas home is quite gorgeous as well. Most of the house touts light-colored hardwood flooring, high ceilings, and an open floor plan. Thanks to this wide open model, the grand entrance to the abode opens directly to several rooms. This includes the main living space, where Kevin and his family can frequently be found cuddled up on the couch or hosting family nights in front of their large flat-screen TV, which is mounted to a luxurious marble wall. Straight across from the luxurious entrance is the chef-style kitchen, which touts stainless steel appliances and warm, modern cabinet and countertop fixtures. For family dinner nights, the Harts can gather in the formal dining room, around a sprawling and inviting mahogany table.
To the side, there’s a wide staircase with a black-iron railing, which brings visitors and residents of the home up to the second story bedrooms. While we don’t have the exact specs on how many bedrooms the house contains, we can speculate that there’s plenty of space for Hart and his wife, as well as their children and a few additional guests. The master bedroom contains a massive walk-in closet stacked to the brim with plenty of outfit choices. This includes plenty of space for Kevin Hart to store any of his personalized picks from his Fabletics athleisure collection.

Like many multi-millionaire celebrities, Kevin Hart has invested his portfolio into a wide array of real estate purchases. Many such purchases were made through LLC holdings and other prudent investment measures. We can’t be 100 percent certain that Calabasas will be Kevin Hart’s stomping ground for the foreseeable future. However, it seems clear that Kevin Hart has placed a ton of time, effort, energy, and money into ensuring his home is his palace. Hart has purchased many homes before, though none have had this much of a personal touch.
