Spanish design house Lladró recently opened a new concept store in New York City. The iconic porcelain brand is celebrating its new store on its 70th anniversary.

In addition to its new store, the brand is also embracing notable pop culture trends and creating limited-edition sculptures. On May 4, also known as Star Wars Day, the brand unveiled its newest Darth Vader sculpture. Lladró has only produced a total of 70 Darth Vader porcelain sculptures worldwide, which quickly sold out. However, for fans of the sci-fi fantasy franchise who still want a porcelain item, the Grogu statue is still available for $445.

The Lladró concept store is located in the Meatpacking District at 435 W. 14th St. The Lladró store will offer customers lighting fixtures, sophisticated design collaborations, home fragrances, and other home goods. Valencia-based Carmen Baselga Taller de Proyectos laid out the design aesthetic for the space. The concept store also uses its arched portal interiors to highlight the craftsmanship of the home goods.

Designer Marcel Wanders also reimagines hanging lamps in an innovative way for shoppers. The goal is to give shoppers a visual and physical experience to ensure the artisan vibe remains the same as intended.

“The launch of this new concept store, which coincides with the brand’s 70th anniversary, responds to our mission to continue revitalizing porcelain, delving into its most innovative creative possibilities,” Ana Rodríguez, CEO of Lladró, said in a press release. “With The Porcelain Revolution, we invite readers to the unexpected Lladró universe, which is a testament to our boundless creativity.”

In addition to the beautiful, striking store, the brand is also releasing a coffee-table book called The Porcelain RevolutionThe book will highlight the brand’s success throughout the years and provide an interactive experience for readers. Readers can expect self-adhesive tattoos, papers of different textures, and masks. The book is expected to have a retail value of $105.
