Home & Texture’s “House Tours” season three returns with a new episode, focusing on the stunning residence of art collector and curator Demanti O’Bryant. Nestled in Atlanta, O’Bryant’s 1960s single-family home stands as a testament to his passion for Black art and culture. This beautifully curated space serves as a living museum, featuring an impressive collection from over 35 countries.
After settling into his home, purchased in September 2019, he began to dive into a love of art collecting. His years working in fashion in New York and his international trips had already yielded a few pieces, sparking an initial interest in the world of art. However, it wasn’t until the end of 2021 that he experienced a profound shift in his perspective on art. From here, he kicked off his passionate love affair with the arts and began curating his home to tell the story of that love.
What makes O’Bryant’s home stand out the most is its themed rooms and spaces throughout the cottage-style residence. From a Greek Roman-inspired entryway to an Asian-inspired bedroom, each area is carefully curated with Black art relevant to its theme.
Ahead, we get into a snippet of what you can expect from O’Bryant’s Louvre-inspired home.

Greek Roman-Inspired Entryway
Upon entering the entryway, visitors immediately encounter O’Bryant’s deep immersion in Black culture. A Blackamoor Lamp stands out as the centerpiece, complemented by a photo from Delphine Diallo that O’Bryant acquired through a Haiti relief fund.

Baroque-Inspired Living Room
As the first room in the home, O’Bryant went with an Italian-French and Baroque vibe. To capture his vision, he painted the living room a deep chocolate color, offset with gold frames to give it the feel of “understated luxury,” as he calls it.

Gothic Medieval-Inspired Den
This room, painted in a moody golden-orange hue, was decorated tastefully with paintings from South Africa. The space was tied together with lamps and a coffee table that spoke to gothic-religious beliefs.
