Calling all Black professional Millenials out there! A new show on Bravo TV combines friendships, careers, partying, and love altogether in Martha’s Vineyard. This summer, the cast will get to know the good, bad and indifferent sides of each other in the new season of Summer House: Martha’s Vineyard. 

In this season, we’re introduced to newly married couple Jasmine and Silas Cooper. Together, they decide to invite their fabulous friends to vacation with them in Martha’s Vineyard for the summer. Their friends are an eclectic bunch of urban professionals who truly embrace the title of bad and bougie.

Bravo TV issued a press release about the show:

“For more than 100 years, Black vacationers have flocked to Martha’s Vineyard, an island south of Cape Cod, Massachusetts, and one of the first beach destinations where African Americans could vacation and purchase property. Known for its natural beauty with pristine beaches, romantic sailboats, colorful gingerbread cottages, and cultural identity, this summertime sanctuary has become a favorite escape for the rich, famous, and politically connected. Summer House: Martha’s Vineyard follows a group of 12 friends as they enjoy their island getaway. With beach parties, decadent dinners, and summer hookups, both fun and drama are in store for these young Black professionals and entrepreneurs.”

As expected, there are some old friends and new friends added to this posh circle. With a mix of different personalities, drama is guaranteed to ensue, but you better believe it will be decadent. Each castmate has their own exquisite taste for luxury, and the show reflects that.

First, you have Mr. and Mrs. Cooper. They met on Hinge and Silas asked her to be his girlfriend when they traveled to Martha’s Vineyard together, so the location holds sentimental value. But marriage is not as easy as it sounds, and the couple will struggle to transition from their single life to married life.

Next, you have Jordan Emanuel who has been best friends with Jasmine through the good and bad. The two were even Playboy Bunnies together. However, Silas begins to let his feelings show as he is not comfortable with Jordan’s “Hot Girl” lifestyle.

Preston Mitchum is a queer activist from Washington, D.C., and he wants to make sure his fraternity brother Silas is doing well as he meets the other castmates. The fashion diva, Bria Fleming, along with Shanice Henderson, Summer Marie Thomas and Mariah Torres, are the rest of the women that will be residing in Martha’s Vineyard with the Coopers. Some of the ladies are looking forward to just relaxing and having a good time, while a few are plotting their next love interest.
