Not everyone can get their hands on a Gustaf Westman Curvy Mirror that retails for $2,635. But TikTok influencer Luena Gama, 28, a digital creator based in Brighton, England, decided to challenge herself and recreate the popular mirror on her own.

Gama told Newsweek that it was only recently that she decided to “take a break from a career in law to pursue ceramics full-time.” The DIY mirror she created cost less than $300 to make.

It’s hard to not be impressed by Gama’s DIY mirror. After all, Gustaf Westman has been trending recently with his playful mirrors that have attracted a lot of younger home decor enthusiasts.

“His bold use of colors and approach to function and construction is just so fun. I am slowly building my collection of Gustaf Westman small objects actually,” she told Newsweek.

Currently, Gama’s video about her Gustaf Westman-inspired decor piece is just under a quarter million views. Many of the comments are praising her rendition and the fact that she was able to save over $2,000 by just making it herself.

“The original Gustaf Westman curvy mirror is £2,400 (around $2,991),” Gama explained. “This is without counting shipping, handling fees and import tax because [of]…Brexit. So I saved approximately £2,199 (around $2,741).”

Products You Need To Recreate The Look

Below is the full price breakdown of the materials purchased by Gama to create her DIY Gustaf Westman-inspired mirror:

  • Valspar paint (Gamma stated the wood needed about three coats.)
  • Industrial glue
  • Nails
  • Jigsaw
  • Drill set
  • Repurposed mirror (Gamma used an Ikea mirror that cost under $125.)
