You only need a few materials: a hot glue gun, scissors, a base for the coaster—like lightweight wood or cardboard—a pen, and rope of your choice.

Use the glue gun to make sure the rope is sturdy and in place holding the circular shape. Keep going until you’re satisfied with the size of the coaster, cut the ends, glue it on the base, and you’ve just created a high-end coaster all on your own.
