February marks the beginning of Black History Month and a profound milestone as we commemorate Home & Texture’s very first year amplifying stories often missing from home and lifestyle media. When this platform debuted last year, we felt eager to finally see content created by and for Black and Brown voices. But your outpouring of support this past year affirms the deep need for spaces where we can explore dwelling, culturally and authentically.
H&T exists to spotlight what home means on our own joyful terms — not to conform to restrictive, noninclusive ideals that have long dominated the design world. We proudly showcase tablescapes, textiles, and traditions that live firmly outside the narrow paradigm of standard aesthetics. And your hunger for representation proves that embracing the entirety of our perspectives matters profoundly when creating havens that holistically nurture our souls.

We’ll carve out more and more room for meaningful representation through both timeless and trending topics centered around where and the way that we live. Most importantly, this community will continue uplifting each other thanks to passionate change-makers like you who believe representation matters.
One year in, the Home & Texture movement grows stronger by the day. Here’s to many more years of living and creating, loudly and proudly.
